Extruded Corn Flake Processing Line
With our extruded corn flake production line, you can efficiently produce cornflakes and other flaked cereals in an integrated process from mixing to coating and drying, assuring consistent quality and scalable output. It also allows versatile formulations, using ingredients such as buckwheat flour combined with corn or enriched with a chocolate coating for premium, value-added products. That flexibility enables food manufacturers to broaden their product portfolio and enter higher-margin market niches focused on health.

Raw Ingredients Intake and Dosing
The mixer allows automatic feeding and batching of raw material for several ingredients. PLC controlled to provide high accuracy and accurate formula control to fulfill production requirements.

Extruding
The raw ingredients are then treated in a twin-screw extrusion process, which subjects the materials to high temperature and pressure, causing shearing, mixing and cooking. Then the material is shaped and sized by means of a die to the desired shape and size.

Pre-Drying
Pre-drying eliminates some moisture from the product in preparation for the main drying stage, helping to maintain product shape and texture.

Roller Flaking
Corn flakes are produced by passing extruded and cooked corn granules through a flaking mill.

Toasting
The corn flakes are toasted at high temperature to improve crispiness, flavor and texture.

Coating
Sugar coating system is the application of sweeteners such as sugar, honey and maltose or other flavorings such as cocoa powder and nut bits to the surface of cereal items to enhance flavor and texture.

Drying & Cooling
The dryer is equipped with a forced hot air circulation system for effective heat transfer and a single-layer chain conveyor to reduce product breakage. It allows for different heat sources such as electricity, natural gas, fuel oil and steam.
